Just to let you all know to be on the lookout. I'll keep it short.

Pershore, Worcestershire. 15:00 > 15:30.

Nr. Railway station and trading estates, picking my little girl up from nursery I notice a light met blue tranny van (51 plate) with 3 large blokes in (possibly from the traveling community) going slow and having a look about. Come out of the nursery 15 mins later van is still there, van moves slowly up to block nursery car park, watching me very intently while I get my girl into the landy. I get in, van moves off in direction of town and I think nothing more of it.

I drive down to my parents (1/2 mile down rd, a few lefts and into a dead end) to drop my litte girl off, as I pull onto the drive I see tranny van drive down the road and stop at the end (this is a good ten mins after the first incident), the blokes are looking up the road at me. At this point I noted the vans reg etc. I get out and start to get my little girl out and the van turns around and drives out of the road. When I left 15 mins later I didn't see the van again though I had expected to.

Hopefully i'm just paranoid and nothing will come of it.

I've called the police tonight and reported the incident, they seemed quite interested which I wasn't expecting.

Just keep an eye on your 4x4's.

Jon.

Just remember it's better to think they're coming for you and to be wrong. Then it is to think your safe and be taken by surprise.

The fab wheels weren't the p[roblem. The problem was the local tea leafs and teh fact that fprd locking wheel nuts only come in 12 varieties, once you get a full set you can remove any wheel. They hit a few of teh nicer fords in the are, the lady up the road got done TWICE when they came back to nick here new wheels following the orginal theft. Of Copurse the rozzers were no good, not only did they tell me about the gang operating when i reported it, they then ahd the effing cheek to send me a letter saying that they were conducting a 'Telephone Investigation'

"Excuse me Mr Nicker, were you responsible...."

Beggars beleif, but there's more. They aslo nicked the ST badge off the back, and just up the road there was a guy on ebay selling....four ST wheels, nearly new tyres & ST badge.

Agin rozzers were not interested, waste of time, would rather be chasing their arse around the paperwok i suppose.

Still I guess you get what you pay for these days (Paid training, final slary pension after 25yrs grrrr)

You should have gone round e-bay guys pad (with a few LR pals) and winched him around for a bit, maybe a few 'rock crawls' and some 'mud splashes' may have let him see 'the error of his ways'

Put it this way, I would have thought long & hard about it . . .

Oh I thought very long and hard about it, but it was a company car, on their insurance and still had to live in the area at the time, not the nicest of places, crack house up the steet etc, one of the reasons why we moved out to the green and pleasant areas
