p38 key

Hi everyone
I need advice real quick
I need a new fob or key device for a P38 1998
can these be reprogramed that is if I purchase a second hand one
can it be fited with a new blade and recut then reprogramed to operate the system?
I have number one key clearly labled on back.

if you have a key why bother?

sell it and buy a landcruiser....

I did,if you take it apart and take the key bit out and just get new inards then it can be reprogrammed.

no it cannot be done go buy a new key from main stealer, tis the only way on a p38. cost of key is £150..

Well thats funny because when i had a problem with my key the guy in the dealership took the key apart in front of me,put i a new board and batterys put the key in the ignition,connected the car to the computer and reprogrammed the key.It took about 30 mins and cost 65 all in.
