Nice feature it has, "grove and slotted discs" Not sure what a "GALVERNISS" chassis is, sounds impressive though, maybe it's a chassis manufactured near Inverness?

I'm not condoning this, but it fits together surprisingly well. There's some modification of the bonnet been done, presumably to accommodate the radiator/intercooler carrier, but otherwise I'm pleasantly surprised.

A number of years ago I had ambitions to build a four wheel drive Morris Oxford. I wonder how that would turn out?

He offends no less than three completely different groups with this:

Land Rover purists.

VW Beetle purists.

Grammar police.

I am only mildly active in the third group but otherwise I quite like it. It's quite ingenious.

A regular 'baja' beetle is actually pretty capable offroad. The suspension is nice and flexible, and despite being only 2wd, all the weight's in the back over the drive wheels. If you go over a bump and the suspension can't cope, it just lifts a front wheel and carries on. Because they're narrow you can pick a line through obstacles. Plonked on a land rover chassis it just doesn't look right to me. Should have just modified the beetle.
