There is on some lanes, but tey are ment to be for the time it takes to repair the road.

Take the Gap road, that one tells you when you CAN NOT drive it. But most people take it that you can drive it at other times. But ask Powys CC they will tell you it is closed all the time:confused: .

Gents, drove this part of the south Sarn Helen a few weeks back so you may have already been. There is a obvious TRO sign at the Aberdulais end of the byway stating open for 3 months (Jun-Aug). However I do know that Neath Port Talbot council is likely to close this early for the August bank holiday.

I have all the details for this section and maps as I took a small group up it in June. Drop me a line if anyone needs confirmation on the Aberdulais to Banwen (Walters quarry) section.:)

Was up that way with 1dirtylandy on 27 June 08......and was told it was closed by a local landy owner......apparently one of the farmer there claimed no one uses the route and had the council close it........best double check with 1dirtylandy before going as he will have more accurate information........

hi there this is my first post.....

me and a few of my mates done the whole stretch last sunday (20th july 2008) started in aberdulais went all the way down the steps and continued up the brecon side of the trail

was talking to a chap up there who said they were going to be closeing off the neath side of it legally due to the fact of people going along the trail and then tresspassing into walters arena. i hope not as its a great track and local for me
