I am slowly getting round to choosing springs for my discovery challenge truck, I need the springs to be fairly soft as it's going to be driven quite fast over the rough stuff. I will eventually change to air shocks but they're too expensive at the moment :D

The springs I have been looking at give a 2" Lift (don't want any more than that the rest is going to come from 37" tyres to keep the centre of gravity lower.

The weight of the vehicle is going to increase from standard with the addition of a full roll cage winch, big spare tyre etc.

Just to visualise, the intention is for it to look something along these lines when it's all complete down the line - got a way to go yet :D

So I am looking at at 150lb front and back. Will this be too soft I think it would be fine for the standard vehicle body but I think they won't be enough for the extra kit / weight. I am also under the impression a RRC spring will fit just fine on the back of a disco?

Thanks ;)

Red Whites are 175lbs/inch but may be to Heavy for the rear as the weight overhang has been cut out you have some but mmight want 150 rear and 175 front with a heavy winch and twin batts

Alreet cheers for the advice. Gonna be running them with cheap pro comp shocks to start with as they have lots of travel for the price. Gotta get the cage sorted and the body cut first.

Wonder where to begin
