has anyone got this problem? if my drivers is window is even just a bit down all it does is rattle. I have the door card off at the minute and all the clips etc look in place. cant really work out what the cause is. any ideas?

Mine did this for ages.
I took the card off the door to find the rubber guide had fallen out of the slider, it was just lying in the bottom of the door. Glued it back in and it is as good as new.

its a common problem ive had it 3 times on 2 differant rangerovers
Both rangerovers got it on drivers door then the other was the front passenger
I just use a blob or 2 of stikaflex on the back of the rubber then shove it back in the metal runner
(Other sticky stuff is available)

Not had a chance to look today. I gave it a good shake and it didn't rattle lol. Will check bottom of the door when I get a chance.

Mine only rattles when it's RIGHT at the bottom, if there's like a little 'tongue' of window sticking out from the seals, it doesn't at all. Same thing, ya reckon?

Yep,
The seals on the widow surround on the door will help stop the rattle if the rubber guide is missing inside the door, when the glass is right at the bottom there is nothing supporting the glass so it rattles on the metal channel.

Have checked inside the door nothing there. My window doesn't rattle as much when it's all the way down as it does if it's only down a bit

Same symptoms as mine was. I did not see the rubber guide in the bottom of the door at first, had had to really look deep in the door to find it. I was certainly not visible at first.
