Guys:
Sold my 79 2-door 3 months ago and the new owner has just knackered the clutch....i have said i'll give him a hand with getting it sorted, cos i deeply loved the old beastie when i had it.

M+D engineering put a Mazda SL35ti engine into it in 1989.....the 64,000 dollar question is : does anybody have the specs for the clutch components that they used at the time?

New owner has mailed M+D, but hasnt had a reply yet....

it will use whatever the clutch is with the box used..ie if lt95 box, then it will av lt95 clutch..if lt77 box it will use lt77 clutch..etc..

or a special ..but i dought that..i.am the only one stupid enough to get custom made clutches..

dont bank on that..diaphram could be lr..depens upon if oe flywheel has been redrilled to take lr diaphram or left mazda..

but whatever plate will be lt95 type if thats the gearbox you got fitted..

yep...box is LT95.
I'll have words with new owner and M+D tomorrow, NO thinks that the friction plate is OK and reckons that the diaphragm is the problem. Could mean having to give M+D lots of money, which we dont want all that much.
Thx for the info, btw
