I have just been doing some maintenance of my Rangie and found out
that the previous owner had removed the warning bulbs for the
Traction Control & ABS from the dashboard binnacle.
 grrrrrrrrr....

Now I have put some bulbs in, suprise suprise the warning lights stay
on. I have been driving it for about 3 months now and am not happy.

Does anyone have any recommended checks I can carry out before I take
the beast into the local garage (Luckily its the Huddersfield Land
Rover Centre) and start saving up.

Thanks

Sean

Hi

You could start by checking the brake pads (ABS Warning lamps will come on if the pads are low)You could check the fluid levels and connectors to the ABS system on each wheel Also there should be a button to disable the Traction control system.

Update

I have carried out the diagnostic test on the ABS ecu and have got a
code of 2-9 which does not appear on any code lists I can find.
It also does not appear to clear as it just keeps repeating every time I do the diagnostic.

Any ideas, I'll do a visual inspection of the pads etc tomorrow
