Hi All, I have Range Rover P38 (1995) with the factory fit stereo. The stereo locked out when the code was entered incorrectly. It will now only display -- -- -- -- and will not allow me to enter the code. I have already followed the instructions in the manual... no joy. I have also tried.

Press and hold BND button for 4 seconds
Press and hold BND button for 4 seconds and Up arrow
Press and hold BND and then power unit on.
Removed the unit from the vehicle for 24hrs
Battery off 10 minutes, back on again

But no joy... Can anyone assist?

Many thanks:confused:

read this carefully : turn the egnition key to first position
- then turn on the radio ... and keep this situation for roughly 6 to 8 hours ...
- then the lcd displays " code in " .
- enter your code then press the up tuner button
here the radio must return alive .
it happened with me and that's was the only solution .

regards .
charbel .

i think you have to wait 4 hours if you get it wrong and start again (something like that anyway)

Hi,

Thanks for the tip. Removed and reinserted fuse 1 and 8 then left the key in position one for 1 hour, bingo "enter code" displayed! All working now!

Cheers

If it's the original you could try a main dealer.
