my p38 has no side steps and think it looks a bit bare without them so was looking about for some and i like the look of the l322 crome side bars has anyone fitted these to a p38 or know if they can be fitted with a little persuasion as i know a few bits do swap over from the l322 to the p38, i dont know if the wheel base is the same length or not between the two cars???

I know its off topic abit but can you get some form of side step that you could use a hi-lift jack with?

Hi

I think these are the ones your getting at - They look pretty similar to the new shape range rover metal tubes. But these are the only ones I've found on the Int-net. I've not bought a set as I think they are a bit pricy for what they are, (tubes of steel) but have to admit they do look good I've put the links on below - let me know if you do buy a set? They look like they are made for the P38

I'm also led to believe that the tubes that are applied to the new shape discovery can also be fitted to the P38 though I'm unsure of this - some of the other guys on the forum may know more

Enjoy :)

wow yeah there not cheap are they ill try find out if the l322 ones will fit as you can pick a second hand pair up for a lot less than that. failing that ill see if a fabrcator i know could put some together for a decent price surely cant be that hard to make with the right measurements

yes this is possible i have l322 chrome side bars on my p38
you need to offer them up and mark the hole position on chassis you are able to use one original holes but the other 3 have to be drilled then fit nut inserts into the holes to take the bolts
you also have to modify the rear bracket on the bars slightly :):)
