Default p38 rear axle seals

hi all just wondered how hard it is to do the rear outer axle seals on a 1995
model,i have done the fronts is it more involved on the rears?

an easy job on a p38 is this possible? thought that might be the case,will crack on with it.

No easy. Jack up put axle stand under raduis arm for safety. Remove wheel. Remove caliper and carrier, secure caliper out of way. Ideally remove disc and backplate. Can be done without this but makes damaging new seal easier if you can't get them off. Undo 13mm (snanner size) bolts, axle to hub. Withdraw halfshaft and hub. See seal in axle, remove. Fit new, grease inside of new seal all round, grease bearing surface on halfshaft. VERY carefully feed halfshaft back into axle be sure NOT to let it rest on new seal. Locate halfshaft in splines and hub to axle bolt up. Replace removed components. Hows that.
