Well I've had it nearly a week and yep its broken down. Very quick post as about to leave for new forest at 6 am (not in cmy car fortunately) and doing this on my phone. Late last night car wouldn't re start after just turning it off. Patrol man got it going by spraying brake clean into maf sensor long enough for it to switch to lpg. Car runs fine on gas. He thought poss low fuel. Filled tank while it was runningbut as soon as I switched it off it wont re start. He said he had heard the pump run, and there was some pressure in the fuel rail when he first came out. Car is on my drive now so any thoughts for me to look at when I return on Sunday? Im thinking the pump or blocked filter. Its a 2002 4.4. Cheers.

Diagnostics would likely show your issue

Sorry but you can't own a range rover without owning some diagnostics :)

Sounds fuel related to me... Was it low on fuel then at the time ?

It was on about a quater but had been running fine. The engine check light was and still is on but runs fine. Think this is due to a pcv valve problem. I'm ordering an all comms this weekend! Pump seems to be running as I can hear it, just.

Pcv valve wont bring on the CEL....only if it is split and is introducing additional air the MAF hasnt allowed for and the lambdas have thrown a wobbler...

Also when my fuel pump went south (see the how to section) no faults were shown.

Think cel is due to air leak as before I picked it up they replaced a split hose and reset lambdas but no fault recorded so can only think another air leak. One minute she was running fine next no go. Did your pump still make a slight noise? As I'm sure I can just hear it but maybe not enough to work.

pump fails regardless if tank is even half full or 1 gallon it just dies anytime/anyplace/ anywhere for no reason & no warning :( I agree with ant doesn't show on diagnostics either (a few of us on here have all suffered this lately)but 99% sure it will be intank pump failure, also it only seems most common on lpg l322s

All sorted :) Pump was fcuked. Got a new one from the bay for £75 delivered. Took a couple of evenings to fit with the help of Saints how to guide. Started after a prime and a cough!! Cheers guys now just waiting for the All Comms to arrive so I can have a play with that.
