I need some Test subjects who either have faults or want to recalibrate their EAS systems. There are two new tools and a redesigned version of the EASunlock application.

The EASunlock application has been rewritten to now use more of windows threading. In fact all the applications have been written to utilize this concept. It was foreign to me before and probably still is a bit fuzzy but with threading the User Interface is now updated in almost real time while the Serial communications can do their thing in the background.

The EASfaults application has been written and works as far as I can tell but I have no real way to test it or compare it to anything. I do not own or have access to any real LR diagnostic test equipment. So I can not get a side by side comparison. I can not see the faults registered on a testbook and compare them to the faults on the EASfaults application. So far I think it is working through.

The EAScalibration application is perhaps the application I am most proud of. Please Please Please read the instructions and get familiar with the application before you start punching buttons. It works and works well. I recalibrated my backup EAS module and was sucessfuly. Keep in mind that if you modify the values too much you will send the EAS into fault. This faults can be read with the EASfaults application and it does register properly as EAS values out of range. The heights will then default back to the original stored heights.

Will this software work with the EAS on a Classic 93 LSE? The EAS control buttons' lights blink and then stay on constantly after start up, which indicates a fault.

I haven't got any cables, but it looks like I need to start to get into this aspect of my RR.

cheers
Neil
