In need of help big time

So I'm
On my Easter hols to the island if wight and yesterday my front drivers suspension air bag split whilst doing about 30 mph, and the front passengers side has just gone whilst parking so the front of the car is on its bump stops and the dash says air susp inactive, my ferry is at 1800 fri back home and I've a 250 miles trip home.

not quiet sure what you need help with are you after recovery back home from the ferry to chesterfield or are you after repair while your away or when your ferry gets back?
I can have a word and see if the trailer i sometimes borrow is available and rated to take your L322 but it's going to cost me about £105 to go from mine in cambridge to portsmouth to chesterfield then back to my house and thats without towing so will probably be more with towing. and I'm not sure the trailer will be up to the weight. I'm happy to help if I can but not entirely sure what is going to help to be honest

Make 2 extra large portions of CHIPS and Ratty will be there His nose has built in GPS

Have you tried Snows Land rover on Forest Road Near Parkhurst Forest or Island 4x4 Nr Chilerton?

I'm in the AA but bar it being on the front bump stops it's fine driving wise, I've spoken to island 4x4 who can get the new units but on fri but our ferry is also fri night

The recovery companies on the island are Stag lane services, Bartletts and James garage. You could see if any of them can do it?

Who said its safe to drive like that ?

I certainly wouldn't recommend it!

can you not speak to the ferry company about getting on a later sailing.

How long will it take to change the 2 struts? It's not getting them changed that's the issue it's getting the parts being on the island

I think it's probably around 30-60 mins per side depending on how easily the bolts undo.

are you traveling to Portsmouth or Lymington?

There is Hunters land rover in Southampton and Paul Light near lymington if your struggling to get the parts on the island.

I'm at st Helens and I will be docking at Portsmouth, there seams to be no one on the island that has parts like this other than on order

TBH most dealerships can get parts overnight so I suppose the time to panic would be tomorrow.

It's common for dealerships these days not to carry huge stocks of parts.

+ 1. Get it recovered home and sort it there, or get it taken on a flat bed somewhere to get it repaired. I wouldn't drive it at all.

if your in the AA phone them tomorrow and get them to take you home in it they'll organise it all if you tell them the ferry times etc. if you have the get home cover it'll be well worth it .

It gets me how these cars are supposed to be urged off road vehicles but I simple air bog burst and it all stops, surly land rover would have designed smithing incase this happeneds

dealer price will get you a genuine delphi one for £700 a corner !!

dunlop are only £250
