please can people tell me how long do range rovers last? p38 1996 hse

the reason i ask is do i put money into the one i have got or do i trade it in for a

later 2000-2001 model

mine has full history and 131000 miles just done new disks/pads brakes manifold

radiator, tyers etc. and it is costing me lots.

your comments would be great

Hi

I've got a Classic on "F" plate which 160,000. I don't know if the P38 had alloy panels like the Classic otherwise I guess it will last as long as the chassis is ok (Although this can be rebuilt) Being a Buick V8 they are happy at 500.000 miles +++

The trade in bit is upto you

On one hand the 2001 model would be newer but can you guarentee that it's any good ?

On the other hand your's you know. What would the costings be either way?

Got a 27 years old hammer, looks like new. Changed the head twice and the handle six times, and I'm taking good care of it...

Got a 20 years old Range, looks like new. Changed...

You get the idea!

It also depends on how much "hands on" you are, but if you want to keep a car forever, Rangies, Disco and Landies are ideal in that you can easily change absolutely anything you need or wish to.
