Help Alarm system

Hi New to this, help needed with alarm system, i accidentally pushed the remote keyfob, dont know which button as the keys were in my pocket as i reached inside to empty the ashtray the doors were open, the alarm chipped once, so when i came to start it the engine just turns over no sign of life, nothing on the display saying anything is wrong, but i think i may have activated the alarm that stops the car from being stolen, i cant find my owners manual, that tells how to reset it and i dont have the code for the ignition thing, the bit that says about turning the key so many turns. Please how do i get it going again. Thank you, its a p38 R reg 2.5 diesel

you could try putting the key in the door lock press the lock button while turn the key to lock then bring it back to center then press and hold unlock while turning key to unlock postion then release and try starting it, or the worst case is that it needs a relearn on the becm as they can drop the memory and it will just turn over without firing mine has just had it done for the second time in 9 months. it takes a couple of mins on the diagnostics (£47)or theres sync mates on fleabay (£115). unless theres a helpful person who lives near you might be able to pop round.

If your key fob still locks/unlocks the vehicle using the buttons,then I suspect the BECM has lost the Engine ECM code and needs resyncing as per previous post.
