EAS Word of Warning

I replaced the rear bags, the compressor and exhaust diaphragm but was still having a minor but annoying leak.
Checked the bags with care today : when I installed the new rear bags I inserted a straight line connector with a little extra length to the bag to make the job easier. What I had failed to notice was that there was already a straight connector in that line and that the little extra length had caused it to be pushed to one side with the pipe entry forced at an angle........= leak.
I know I should have been more carefully to begin with : watch out for other connectors in the line.

Did you remove the plastic wheel arch liner?
With it in place you can't see much.

I removed all but one of the fixings and dropped it : frankly with it down you still have pretty limited visibility.
Before you start I would advise buying (they're pennies) a bunch of the plastic pins for refitting : I tore mine to bits getting them out and am still sticking any pin I can lay my hands on.

You mean the plastic rivets? I bought a couple of dozen. They are easily damaged.
I also invested in the forked tool for getting them out.

Personally I would replace any line with connectors in it, more places to leak

+1 for above when I replaced mine about 7 years ago I bought a reel of new airline and ran new lines with no inline connectors and avoiding the rear exhaust problem best thing I did never had an eas problem since - well thats fooked it suppose

I was going to do that this morning but when I got underneath I couldn't access the route of the old line very easily so just nosed around and found the second straight connector.
Does Rave have a diagram of the routing or is it just a common sense following the existing trunking ?
