Crank Position Sensor Location?

Hi guys and girls, can anyone tell me where the Crank Position Sensor is located on a 1995 Range Rover P38 4.6 HSE?
 
Hi.
Its near to to the flywheel at the rear of the engine where it joins the gearbox from memory.Somone will shout if i'm wrong. Whats wrong?

your right m8 it`s at the back by the flywheel if you have a look at the back of the cylinder head on the passenger side on the back of the head between the head and bulkhead should be a blue plug there this is the plug for the sensor so follow the wire down to the sensor if i rember right it`s one 8mm bolt;)

Well its developed a misfire when its first started and will remain with a misfire until about 10 mins into a journey, then it will run fine. Well apart form a very slight mis when idling.

Ive changed the plugs and leads, done a compression check on it and it all came back fine. At the same time as the plugs and leads being re-newed I installed 2 brand new CATS and 2 brand new Lambda sensors.

So the only thing I can think it can be is either the coil pack or the Crank Position Sensor. Now I think I can rule out the Coil pack as the initial bad misfire goes away after about 10 mins so I think it must be the crank sensor :confused:

Whats the easiest way to access it? from in the engine bay or from under the vehicle?
 
i had the same miss fire on my old p38 but mine was a cylinder down but i`d go for the coil pack normally when you get trouble with you crank sensor it will stop and not run but sometimes the crank sensor will break down when hot then when left to cool it will run again to get to the sensor the best way i found was from underneath;)
