hi all i have just come across a problem to which my brake lights are on and the range is locked all locked up and im in the house any ides to wot could cause this allso the indicators are working but not on the dash nor is the relay clicking my range rover is a 02 plate vogue

P38 or L322. If P38, is the carpet wet in the drivers footwell? Check the battery voltage is at least 12.5 volts.

A proper introduction always helps with full details of the car.

sorry heads doing kartwheels at the min i think im right in saying its a l322 and now it aint starting nor will the steering wheel move in or out am going to try jump leads now

didnt need the jump leads after she started butt all dash lights was flickering on and off before it started the battery is only a month old and the carpet under the brakepedal is very slightly damp and the car is allways parked on a slight hill facing down the hill so could it be a damp electrical problem

Start her up and wack on the heaters to try and dry her out

Sounds like damp on an ECU

See if its damp under the passenger seat where the ECU's sit

hi guys only place i can find damp/water is on all the gear in the passenger side pannel in the boot ie sat nav and other stuff pluss my screen on the radio has gone off to

They are known for leaking. Land Rover produced LR branded plastic bags to wrap the electronic gear with. If you don't have the bag, it might be worth getting one. Or a bin liner, cut and taped to fit.

The plastic stops water dripping into the electronics, unfortunately it does not stop condensation forming inside the boxes from the pool of water in the bottom of the compartment and the wheel well. My mates L322 compressor has just drowned:eek:

Yikes, I know you've mentioned condensation before, but if enough water gets in to drown the compressor then I'm surprised Landy haven't issued a corrective fix for the problem. When Toyota are recalling cars because the electric motor can burn out if you how down the window winder button, you'd think LR would recall a vehicle that can leak through pretty much every join and seam. And people wonder what happened to the British motor industry.
