car was stood for a week and when I moved it I got a grinding sound from the front brakes which went away after a short drive ,however while driving home the abs, brake warning and dsc lights came on amber with the hdc inactive and air suspension inactive ,if you turn the ignition off and leave the car for 10 mins then it all reset but came back on after about 5 mins of driving, then while driving slowly the transfer box mountain symbol flashed and told me to go into neutral which when i did the transfer box went into low range ,again when the car was turned off it went back into hi range ,any ideas would be much appreciated ,
as the brakes were stuck I've swapped the front pads today but can't take it for a drive as when I was under it i noticed that the passenger side compression arm ball joint nut was missing, the car was in about 3 weeks ago at a dealers for a diff oil leak to be sorted so it looks like theyve left the nut off ,not to worry only driven 1000 miles on it ,
any ideas on the brakes though , cheers

got the nut and fitted it ,drove the car and all the lights reset, then went back out and lights back on , front passenger side apppears to be binding/not releasing so will try free it tomorrow

tried freeing up today, now when going round right hand corner if you brake hard before the corner as you go round it asks you to select neutral and when you do it drops into low range ,so think definitely one brake not gripping or one not releasing got a set of caliper seals coming tomorrow so will overhaul both calipers and see what happens then.

could just be crap on the piston - won't let the piston return. I had the same on my audi after a number of years.

battery is only 15 months old ,checked it today first thing this morning 12.7 volts with engine off 14.7 with the engine running, checked all the cells and none have a low level in ihavent ruled it out yet though , done all the brakes now overhauled the front calipers and fitted new pads front and back ,back calipers are free all the discs are clean brakes in a straight line , its going in on monday to get plugged in see what it says then if that sheds no light will consider a new battery.

Plugged in at dealers passenger front wheel speed sensor appears to be the culprit for the abs fault the air suspension has a can bus fault so will see about that

New ABS sensor on the front passenger side and steering angle sensor recalibrated all warnings cleared and air suspension working again ,
