Hi Guys,

Can you help me here please. I met this geezer that has no rev-counter (tacho) and it's wired up as follows: As you can see there is nuffink on the W post for revs. The white/slate comes in and splits and one bit goes to a block. There is cable that comes up from the bottom comes from one of those interference block thingies. How do I get rev-counter without shorting a lot of stuff out.

What Year?

White/Slate is the W connection according to the 95 schematic...and is crosslinked to another point on the Alt. using a capacitor as a suppressor....and then onto the instrument cluster through a resistor

Only difference I can see with the earlier wiring is the Resistor isn't there!

It does indeed....depends on if the wiring on the host vehicle has been butchered at all....

If you can, get a DVM and meter the WS wire under the bonnet to the binnacle connection and see if you get continuity....

hmm...seems okay. From the pic above can anyone tell me what the mini spade is plugged into? I Always thought the mini-spade was warning light, but the brown and yeller one is connected underneath to D+ presumably. Down the bottom in the pic.
