Thanks for that
Sadly my local land Rover is about 15 miles away and they have quoted £400 to pick up and check it out!!!!!
(There is no-one else local who can fix it and I have tried 11 local garages...they all say go to Land Rover we don't ever touch Range Rovers 'cos they are rubbish!!!)
Land Rover say it is something to do with the door lock not reading the sensors or something like that which would mean a new door lock assembly. That they can do for a further £385. I can get the parts for under £30 from the local breaker but I can't do the work.
So sadly it goes. What it makes is what it makes.
Being a full time carer for a disabled wife I simply don't have that kind of money to throw at it....£800 is what I get to live on for 3 months!!!!
Shame really because someone who knows what they are doing could make a good mark up.
I just want the thing out of my sight...I have never had any trouble from Volvos (8 in 17 years, all species from 850 to V70R) in the past and this thing is just a nightmare. I should have listened to all the people who told me not to touch one with a barge poll.
I HATE IT
I just want it gone
So come on guys, if you want to make some money, make me an offer
