got a new one and was serprised at the length of the thing.... could only see two places for fitting,,,,its a des 2.5 1998. looking underneath now and could use a map to see how it fits.. can you help????
 
Check belt should be between 4PK833 to 4PK870 if it's longer or wider they have sold you the standard drive belt (just done mine)
 
foget about it mate... he's given me the drive belt... showed him the car and where the belt is ment to go....my spanglish is not up too much.... well its a long way back to town 2hours in the heat....;/

Also, check the belt does actually fit and is not too long. I bought one from Island 4x4 and it was slightly too long, had to put the old belt back on. So it possible that there are two different lengths....

The adjusting pulley has two alternative tapped holes in the front of the engine for the 13mm AF bolt. You can select whichever is best which may get a slightly different length belt on? If the difference in length is noticable this won't take it up - and the belt size is wrong!
 
One of the suppliers on Ebay lists two different belts and I'm not smart enough to know why there are two and which one fits my engine? 4PK840 and 4PK855.:confused: Not that I need one at the moment but when I do I'll be confused and then delayed!
