Will a fixed towbar set off my parking sensors?

As title really. I want to fit a fixed towbar to my 2005 Freelander, but still want my parking sensors to work.
I am worried they will pick up the towbar and beep eveytime I reverse.
It's a tow equip kit I'm looking at, has anybody here fitted one?

Towball doesn't affect the parking sensors at all.

Nor does hanging two or three bikes on the back door.

Clever things Freelanders.

yes welcome i also have a protector bar just goes over tow bar and that does not effect them, people walking behind does though

As above no problem. Bit of a pain thou when you got caravan on the back and need to reverse and forget to switch it off lol
