Hi eveybody,
I have had a noise coming from underneath, and I have been told it could be from the rear differential. This is a continuous whining noise that is best heard when passing through a tunnel or along a wall.
I also have a whisle noise, like a bird, occuring from times to times, and when I accelerate, disappearing when passing to upper gear.
If it is the rear differential, can I still use the car and wait until the noise is too bad, or should I replace it ASAP?
Could it be something else?
The IRD was replaced 2 years ago by former owner, the VCU 3 months ago, the rear differential bearings also.
The distribution should be replaced probably within a year/10000 kms, but I am not sure exactly. Should I do it now to be safe? Could one of the noises come from there?
Thank you very much for your advice
