My series land rover has had a wheel hub stud shear, I tried welding it back in but it broke again so for safety Im going to buy a new hub assembly. My question is....... Mine on the axle now has the studs discribed as small studs (Landy 2A ones?) So Im guessing the whole axle is from a 2A. The assemblies Ive seen to buy from Paddocks etc seem to all have the discribed Larger studs?? Can I fit these? In what way are they larger? In diameter? Length? And if so will they fit through the brake drum? Then I suppose I will need new nuts? Which ones? cheers all! :)

I'm having sorta the same problem. I have a 2a with small threaded studs. These are a different thread to the S3. They don't make the threaded 2A hub anymore.

then buy the pull-in studs to suit as in the link above

you do need to redrill the stud holes a little for clearance but if done correctly then the problem is solved until the chassis has been reclaimed by the planet
