What's that big red warning light?

My '81 has the twisty thing to reset the tripmeter in that position, it also has the brakes differential pressure failiure warning lamp, down by the heater fan switch.
One of the previous owners might have had that fitted with towbar electrics, you can get a black box thing that flashes a light or sounds a buzzer when the trailer indicators are working as a reminder your towing, and maybe one of the later owners thought it was a good idea to have it wired on all the time.

it didn't go anywhere or do anything so disconnected it, but left it in place as I may use it as a reminder warning should I connect any additional lights or stuff later?

my old landy 1962 ..fitted with a series 3 dash had the same light on when i got her i also disconected it....but i do have wireing problems with my tow bar electrics so i think the light was showing me the fault long before i knew i had one and chopped it out ..lol .

I think I reached the stage of blissful ignorance when I disconnected it - the annoying light is gone, but the Landy's still working - Happy Days!!!

just occured to me bout the big red light maybee its been put there to cover a short in the ignition somewhere (to stop a certain fuse constantly blowing ) just remember the red light if this problem reappears:D:D:D:D:D
