Think this the overload relay for hairdryers for mobile hairdresser. It sends a audible warning to an internal hidden speaker, Saying way too many clients dear.

I think its a link point, where various wires are joined together.

It looks like a junction for linking cables. I'm stripping wires out of the Nissan Leaf loom for my project and there are loads of similar connectors for linking ground wires.

They are part of the harness for assembly purposes only. Different models require slightly different harnesses, and the additions needed for some models are simply spliced in to an existing lower spec model harnesses. This saves manufactures from making loads of completely different harnesses, when a few with some modifications on the production line work just as well.
