TYRE PRESSURE

Evening Folks ,

Just wondering what is the correct PSI for 2004 D2 18” Alloys 255 55 R18 ?

must confess I assumed the tyre pressure plate would be inside the door pillar or maybe on the bonnet slam panel

If u do a quick search for owners manual that should also tell u

Normal load - 2.1 bar front, 2.6 rear

Fully loaded - 2.1 bar front, 3.2 rear

Not in door shuts @gstuart , not on mine anyway and don't think its had a respray

So it’s 26 all round on normal load & 32 all round on full load ?

No ... 2.1 Bar (2.1 x 15 psi) front and 2.6 Bar (2.6 x 15 psi) rear for 'normal' loading.

You're a bit muddled here. My handbook only gives pressures in Bar. If you're working in Psi, do as suggested above to convert Bar to Psi (technically, you should multiply by just over 14.5 but I aint splitting hairs).

So about 30psi front, 36 psi rear for normal load

Bless u as wasn’t 100% sure, there is a pressure plate in my D3 door and just wondered if it was the same for the earlier models

Run mine 32psi all round, that’s for 235 - 70 - 17’s, as a side note got,a set of 19” rims that I intend to fit later on with some falken wildpeaks , ref 255- 55 - 19

Yeah I think earlier cars in general didn't have pressure plate. Prob EU law in later years

Good to hear ur ok my friend, me , been writing out a list of the bits I wish to fit on the disco this year

Indeed , here u go mate , first pic are my current 17’s fitted with cooper AT 3 , still tons of tread on them

The 19” will need new tyres , managed to find a pic of them fitted , at the end of the day once I fit the 19” I’ll more than likely sell or just get rid of the 17” if knowone wants them as seeing I’ll fit the falken wildpeaks won’t req the use of the 17”

Should also go nicely with my new brakes
