Hello again everyone,

I made a post recently about the lights flickering issue on the 08 RR I just got. I didn't know about the terrain response system saying faulty at the time I made the post. I apologize for another thread for the same vehicle. Is this a common issue, has anyone had this issue, or know of a solution.

Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions.

The cause will most likely be in a subsystem, not the terrain response itself as it is only a supervisory system and (other than the module itself) has no components.
To quote LR:-
"TERRAIN RESPONSE® SYSTEM FAULT DIAGNOSTICS
Terrain Response® relies on the correct functionality of the sub-systems. If
one of the sub-systems develops a fault, the Terrain Response® system will
not function, even though the fault is not in the Terrain Response® system.

It is not possible for the Terrain Response® control module to cause any
fault behaviour (warning indicator illumination or message generation) in any
of the sub-systems. Illumination of a sub-system warning indicator and/or a
sub-system related message will never be associated with a Terrain
Response® control module or Terrain Response® system fault.

The Terrain Response® switchpack should only be investigated if there are
no apparent faults in any of the sub-systems. If a fault in a sub-system is
subsequently corrected, the Terrain Response® system will function
normally after an ignition cycle."

A different thread for a different problem is the right way to go even if it's the same car.
Do you have any error codes?
I've yet to be able to put a code reader on it yet. I just got it Saturday and have been busy with other things. I will be running it for codes this weekend while attempting to fix the light issue.
