I know there are loads of threads about this, and I think I've read most of them, but would you take a look at this one, as it seems to involve only the locking. Basically, it's locked shut. The dashboard warning thinks it's closed, and it feels locked, not jammed. It happened suddenly, for no apparent reason.
Background:
1) The window works, dropping its couple of inches if the handle is used. This does not unlock the door.
2) Other window functions normal - heater, wiper, etc.
3) Central locking normal on other doors - with key - no longer have a key fob.
4) Spring broke in latch some months back. Never stopped it working though.
5) Latch has been problematical since replaced 2 years ago, but only in cold weather. Then it wouldn't latch! WD40, oil or warming it, solved it, but it had a little more rough handling than usual.
So, what ideas? Almost everything suggests I need to get inside. I probably can - I'm old - but I might never get out... Also, though I'm not a complete dunce, electrics are not my forte.
Thanks in advance.
