Hi all,
First off, thanks all of you for the help you have given - I am working through all these problems at a rate of knots now and you've all be a great help. So thanks for your patience and input
. Next on my list of gremlins to bash is the tailgate. Ton's of threads pop up on search but most seem to be an electrical problem and I'm pretty sure this is purely mechanical.
The spring on the handle feels like its broked. That is to say, if I pull it back, nothing pulls it back forward again. This results in me having to do an awkward flicking movement with my fingers when shutting to get the window to raise but now even that doesn't work. I'm pretty sure that the door shut message isn't getting to the CCU, so it's not raising the window.
So, where is this spring and can I replace it? Has anyone got any pics/diagrams of inside the handle?
I'm pretty sure that the window raising protocols are normal otherwise, it's just that the handle itsn't contacting the microswitch properly.
Any input before I start discomblooterating it?
