sorry Singvogel the mechanic said a bottom bagging (hose) had become disconnected he also said that it was very soft and that deposits collect there and that's what makes them rot and split. would you recommend fitting the silicone ones or fitting the normal rubber ones back on?

OK - I understand - the old hose blew up a good bit. The mechanic is right - oil rots rubber and eventually it gives up.

Yes - get new hoses asap - the ones you have are liable to split anytime.

The silicone ones are not that much more than the OE from LR dealers. Check with DPH.

Check the hose clips/clamps are up to the job too. Plenty of them cheap on eBay - you don't need 'T'bolt clamps on all of them. I put one only on the 90 degree bend hose where it enters the EGR.

Singvogel.
