Ok tomorrow I plan to fit a replacement engine in my freelander, the engine I have in the car now is the twin coil pack type, and the replacement engine I have is the earlier distributor type, I have searched the forum and the internet and there seems to be plenty of info about going from coil pack to distributor but not distributor to coil pack, but upon reading what I have found has thrown me into turmoil, as I have read that if I use a dizzy engine then I could face issues with ecu, and immobilizer etc, so my plan was to use just the block from the replacement engine as the crank on my engine is out of round and is knocking, would I be able to use it as it is, or would I have to swop the flywheel and sensor over for it to work as I am led to believe that the firing works off the sensor reading the flywheel any help or advice would be gratefully received
