i have a large crack in the side window of my series 3 88, i was told that a lot of them are not standard sizes (home made jobs), does anyone know the best place to get new glass from? is there any special type of glass needed for side window??
sorry about all the questions, but new to landy maintenance and the landy scene

if its a non standard size any glass company will cut you want you want.....needs to be toughened (whole pane shatters into small pieces) as a minimum though laminated is better as its almost unbreakable and you'll need the edges ground to a chamfer whichever.
Worth phoning around as they vary alot on price

The glass in the doors should be a standard size but the side windows in the rear can be all sorts of sizes. Phone around your local glass suppliers for toughened glass and take the old one in as a template. You can't cut toughened glass so it has to be cut first then sent off to be toughened so it can take a week to come back. Then there's the fun of refitting it.

Try polycarbonate (plastic) as an aternative, its strong enough, 12mm thick is classed as bullet proof!
Although you wont need it that thick..:violent:
