Hi there

I recently purchased my first landy, a 1972 Series 3 stationwagon carawagon. All original and complete, just needs tidying up and some work to the chassis. It has the normal safari roof (no pop top). It has a metal frame that slides out of the back, 3 tubes to place an awning over. My question is where could I source a proper awning for this. It clips to the side of the landy and sits in a channel at the top. Have you seen any for sale or know of any templates to make one etc? Bit of a shot in the dark I'm sure, probably as rare as rocking horse ****.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

anyway, try exmoor trim, i doubt theyle have one on the shelf...:doh: but i expect if you give them a call they have the plans/design to make one, but it wont be cheap:eek:
oh and pics....:D

Lateral thought - why don`t you see if you can get one made up by any of the guys who do canvas boat awnings/covers/canopies - they are used to one off`s and to measuring up themselves.
Or you could try a decent coachtrimmer - also used to doing one off car hoods for vintage and veterans.
Have you tried carawagon themselves - I heard that they were advertising again, though whether it was as original or someone had bought the designs/tooling I don`t know
