Hi

I need some help regarding brake issue

My series 2 has had the following

new shoes,wheel cylinders,brake hoses,master cylinder

I can’t get brakes right if I adjust the MC rod I get the following

1 to far holds the brakes on
2 if go the other way oil flows back to bottle but lose the pedal

I’m trying to find out if feed pipe is wrong way round currently goes to back of the cylinder near the bulk head

Any help would be appreciated

Sounds to me like there could be a few things going on.
Master cylinder push rod could be worn, easy to check.
Shoes and/or drums could be too warn. Are the snail cams adjusted?

Hi
its had new master cylinder drums are all good yes it’s the small snail adjuster

Defiantly no air the rod adjustment is mm to having a pedal holding brakes on as fluid can’t return if few mm the other way oil flows back but pedal goes will pump up again

where does the oil feed go to cylinder as I believe this is wrong still

theres a couple of variations, have a look through images on the internet, theres plenty of exploded views out there which should confirm your particular setup
