morning all, has anyone taken front & rear seats out, need to do this to carry a big load, rgds DW

perhaps he has a big load of car seats he needs to transport ?

reasonably easy to do, just an unbolting exercise. BUT, passenger seat may flag an SRS warning when airbag connectors unplugged, likewise, if you have a multichanger, it may be under the passenger seat.

good luck anyway, let us know how it goes.

Many thanks, need to transport scaffold tower to next job cant fit them in the series without removing bulkhead/seat securing bar so thought be easier option to take out seats, was wondering about electrics on these modern LR's. Hopefully the seat rails bolt into captive nuts or is does it take someone else under the car holding the nuts? rgds DW

Rear seats are easy, a few torx screws to remove and they come out.
No idea about the fronts though.

It's all done with Torx screws into captive nuts, front and back. OP's right - you will get the SRS warning light on with the front passenger seat out and unplugged, but it can be ignored. It's telling you the seat belt pre-tensioner's not working, that's all. It'll go away once you put the seat back in.

You need to remove the trim on the side of the front seat to get it out too, iirc.

many thanks to all for your time, will note the warning lamp info as well, thought about roof bars but its an old iron tower not the modern ali one so v. heavy, off out now for the un-torxing!
