Even if you buy an updated CD, it will be out of date, at least in Europe it will be, so a waste of money IMO, better using Google maps.

My RR is 2003, The SatNav does actually work reasonably, till you get to a new road layout, which it doesn't have, but it is back on track once you are back on a road it knows. I also like the lady who does the voice, she sounds really calm "In 100yds turn left", and she only says this when you have to do something. I bought a Garmin SatNav what a shock, it beeps when the speed limit changes, it beeps for speed cameras, even beeps for red light cameras, it was a constant pain in the arse, I try not to use unless I have to.

Surely you can change the settings to stop the warnings? It's illegal to have speed camera warnings in France.
Google maps on a smart phone or tablet is the best IMO, constantly updated and totally free.

You probably can alter the warning chimes or even turn them off, I didn't bother to check TBH. I only use it when i have to, but I will go into settings see what i can find
