Roof bars that fit 2004 Disco 2

Had some universal roof bars from my previous estate car which I hoped would fit the 2004 Discovery 2 we now own. Firstly the bars were too short but also the clamp part wouldn't fit under the factory roof rail where the roof raises up towards the passenger area. I have been looking on the internet for a suitable replacement but even though some say they will fit, the shape of the feet in the pictures would make me think otherwise. I am not a fan of the hi-rise gutter mounted variety but may have to go that route if I can't get ones that fit to the roof rails.

Can anyone give any recommendations from personal experience ?

Thule 952 20cm rain gutter feet, with suitable length cross bars. I have a pair that I use with a roof box on my D2, and they are great. I have no roof bars at all on mine.

If you have the short bars at the front, I'm sure Thule do cross bars to fit.

Thanks srtgray - I will check them out. I did see another post saying with the gutter mounted variety I would need the 11" versions to clear the existing roof bars.

I do have the short bars at the front which seem too short to be any use but another post I saw (I have trawled loads of posts on this but haven't seen a definitive answer) said they are the same size as on many other cars.

My concern is where the roof line rises the gap between the bottom of the bar & the roof of the car is only around 1.5cm so not much room to play with to get the clamp part on.
