I have a 2012 Freelander 2 TD4. It currently has 2 faults:

1. Reversing sensors - constant or intermittent tone - wiring pack and sensors recently replaced, but garage have suggested now that module needs to be replaced.
2. Transmission fault - Intermittent transmission warning about reduced traction - garage have suggested rear diff issue and replacement of haldex (trying oil/filter change first).

The funny thing is that when the transmission fault is showing the reversing sensors work perfectly. Is there anyway that the two faults could be linked?

Without running a full diagnostic on all systems, it's impossible to tell what the issue is.
If 2 modules on a data bus are giving faults, it could well be data bus related.
Have a proper diagnostic done before replacing anything else.

Thanks, I saw on another post some wiring diagrams for the databus, but don't know if these are related to the same relay switch. I don't suppose you know?

The Freelander 2 electronics system is very complex, so an issue in 1 module can potentially effect other modules on the data bus.
As it's a 2012, is it a full facelift, or ½ facelift?
