Hi All
The radio headunit has stopped working in my 2004 Landmark D2, but there is still power as it lights up as it should but the LCD display is blank and it will not provide any music.
There's a nice chap selling a headunit which looks the same on marketplace but from a 2000 D2, does anyone know for sure that the 2000 headunit would swap out and plug/play with a 2004 car? I dont have the skills or patience to try and make a replacement headunit work unless it simply plugs in :)

Thanks for your help
Simon

Thanks for asking that question - I found (and thought I had checked before) a CD changer under the drivers seat and an Amp under the passenger seat (I presume thats what it is based on a metallic box with wires connected). - That I find from some more research makes it a Highline (no nav).
So on that basis I'd guess a 2000 Radio wouldnt work with the later tech which I 'think' came with later/higher models?

Not sure if you know, but given there is an amp and so many speakers including a bass speaker on the boot door, why the overall quality is a bit rubbish? Guessing very old speakers/cones.

A 2004 Landmark was fitted with the 11 speaker hi-line ICE system with CD autochanger and the rear controls as standard. So although the replacement head unit looks the same… the hi-line system was available for the 2000MY D2… the only way to confirm compatible is by the items part number which should be the same as your existing head unit.

Yes I believe the HU is the same for Lear and HK systems. Although speaker wiring is different. They sound a bit pants as you point out, as they are now old and knackered. Those HUs are avaon ebay but not massively cheap anymore

Thanks all for your help, appreciate the info. Given he's only asking £20 then its worth a punt as most online are much more than that and if it isnt compatible I'll see if I can find someone who can use it.
