Hi all
i know their are a lot of threads about remapping but looking for upto date info.
I have a Defender 110 TD5 2000 i use for a spare tow truck (when the Ford Rangers are broke) i also want to do a bit of green laning in the truck.

So i'm thinking of getting a stage 1 done but by who
IRB developments ?
5 Alive ?
JE engineering ?
or any one got any better ideas

whats the fuel consumption now compared to before. Ive got a 03 disco td5 at present I get about 19 mpg nocking about town

That sounds a bit low !.

My remapped 2002 manual does 26.4 mpg,( all short journeys of 5/10 miles ). And 22.6 mpg towing my 200 tdi disco.

These readings are taken with slightly larger tyres than standard which give a very accurate milage count. ( hence a lower mpg figure ).

Its soooooooooooo much better with the map on though.

:) Thanks for that will give it a go nowt to lose, only fuel :rolleyes:
 
I'm at 23,7 mpg when not towing and more "bigger" roads...more km's doing 75 mph (120km/h).
When towing a small trailer and more town traffic (not in 4th with lock-up) I only get +/- 20-21 mpg.

Until now all it still standard...de-cat & de-egr have been ordered.

Car is a end-2002 TD5 Disco2 (facelift) with autobox
