Rear Passenger Window Problem

Hi All,

Ive tried searching to sort this and I keep coming up with threads about the tailgate, This problem is with the rear passenger doors.

Nearside rear door electric window stopped working so opened up the door to find the cable snapped, going to order one of these FREELANDER ELECTRIC WINDOW REGULATOR REAR - LEFT | eBay and hopefully fit it without too much trouble.

The offside rear door electric winder still works but when it gets to the top it doesn't stop, it makes this horrible clicking sound, like a slipping cog. Is there a way to reset the up and down stop positions without opening up the door?

Nope. Sounds like something is slipping, or it int got he stength to push the window fully up. Never taken one apart meself, but you'll need to have a look inside to see whats wrong.

How did you get on. I have a similair problem but the white plastic fittings that holds the wire and outer shroud which then clips onto the metal runner end has broken on mine. If you still have your old mechanism would you be willing to part with them. Cheers john

Hi Siblo, i too would like to know how you got on, as my rear passenger window seems to have suffered a similar fate. Will wind down but i have to pull it back up & wedge it.

Checvk that the ferrel that fits into the slider is tight. If this slips then you will get this problem.
