Its hard to sort that I did it once just tapping it in while squeezing each side
Recently the T piece I got was far too thick , thought I would try thinning it down then put old one it with aerograde blue hylomar , I have heard peeps do away with T piece and use solely silicon rubber

I know on the tdi engines there is a recommendation to remove it and just pump full of gasket sealant although I replaced it on the one I did recently.
