Range Rover P38 2001 2.5 diesel transmission pipework

hi,

I am new to this forum so any help would be appreciated. I have spent many months replacing the transmission oil cooler and pipe work. On my Range Rover P38 2001 2.5 diesel automatic. I can’t remember where the front pipes fit in conjunction with the other pipe that run along the front of the vehicle. Does anyone have a drawing or photo showing the pipes in position, there is nothing in the workshop manual or parts book to help.. I am now at the point where I have spent so much time on this rangy I just want to put it back together.

Are you sure it's not shown in RAVE? I'll see if I can take photo's tomorrow if it stops raining.

Thank you for your quick response my rangy is the Bordeaux and nothing seems to be the same the parts in the manual several times I have order parts from the parts manual and ended up having to pay out again as they were wrong. BMW had a hand in it design. I managed to get both pipes back in after a lot of struggling but I just can’t get the pipes to go back into position on the front.

This Range Rover is lovely to drive but a nightmare to work on.
 
The last of the '38 I felt were built a little different to the early ones... A little less tank like!!
Are you talking where they meet the radiator?
 
Mines the manual so doesn't have the same setup but as far as I am aware the transmission oil rad sits behind where the left fog-light would have been. I'd guess the pipework comes out towards the centre of the car and is clamped against the side of the engine block somewhere.

Excellent photos thanks I got the pipe the past the engine block but just couldn't get the last bit. These photos are really clear thanks. And the sun has come out now.

Yes from radiator to cooler. I know where to attached them to the cooler just not where they locate around the radiator area.

All diesel models with auto transmission have that little transmission oil cooler radiator located behind the grill where a spot light can be fitted on the manual gearbox version or on the V8.
 
I know what you mean - I moved my oil cooler radiator from behind the spoiler to the bulk head near the EAS compressor. The pipes come from the gear box - make a 90deg bend and run below the main radiator to the oil cooler rad. Did you remove them from the gearbox/ to the rad altogether or cut them any where? I think i took some photo's at the time - do you still need them if I have them?

Got them back in now, so on to putting the rest of it back together.
