Hi ya, I have a 2004 - 3 door - Flander with a 1.8 petrol engine.

Has anyone removed the prop shaft & used it in the snow? Is it OK? I know it won`t be brilliant but my diff is noisey & my VCU is also noisey.

I removed the prop shaft on my 2001 Flander but never used it in the snow. It was much quicker & much more fuel efficient.

Thanks

Yep i used mine in the snow (the year before last) for a while, it was quite good actually and the TC still worked on the front wheels.

i very soon after did my IRD and VCU then put it all back on.
it is much better as god intended, but for a short time it was better than a normal front wheel drive.

I've used my V6 in rain but not snow. It's ok in the rain as long as I don't floor it as it just wheel spins it's way up the road. It's not any faster ether as it can't get the power down. A 1.8 should be better though.
