Probs following new tailgate regulator cables

Need a bit of help please folks. One of the cables snapped in the tailgate on my 2005, 3door td4. New cable kit purchased of fleabay, followed Diagrams and refitted rails and motor/regulator. Initially window would close when I pushed the dash board button, get to top, beep and immediatly fully open its self. If you stopped half way up it would do the same. tried to follow the calibration instructions, reconnected battery and it now wont move at all now. its currently fully open, if you push button to close there is just silence and nothing happens, push button to open it beeps 3times...Anyone any ideas what I've damaged/cocked up please?

Am coming to conclusion this thing has a mind of its own! Checked everything over again and this time it tried to raise using key in lock outside and fob to lower. Did this a few times, stuttered a bit but it's now opening and closing using key & fob AND console button too. god knows what was wrong but am crossing my fingers that it's now happy and going to continue to play ball.
