Pretty urgent parts question

Can anyone help,
I need to find a business within 100 miles of Edinburgh who could sell me a rear prop shaft for the Series III. (you may have seen my post about losing on of the Edinburgh bypass yesterday)

We urgently need to get one of our diesel vehicles on the road as we can't take petrol ones onto gas refinery sites.

The Discovery is off the road for at least 5 weeks thanks to the DVLA closing their local office and us having to use swansea to get a V5C issued following a break in. (The vehicle has not yet been transferred into our name and the new keeper supplement has been stolen along with a load of other papers)

The Pajero needs some turbo charger surgery so the easiest vehicle to get back on the road within a day or so will be the Series Landy,

Anyone know of parts supplier who would be able to sell us a shaft within 100 miles of Edinburgh, don;t really have time to do a mail order as we need a vehicle on the road by Monday

Cant think of anywhere as I am Midlands based. Most suppliers will do next day delivery for a small extra cost.

Might struggle for delivery on a Saturday though.

Have to tried the local indies like Mark's Garage for Land Rovers

just left a message for coopers in Traenent, thanks for Marks - I'll try them
Also asking around the farmers in case anyone has a scrapper in their yard

If you're stuck you can put it in 4 wheel drive and run it as a front wheel drive temporarily.

Can you not temporarily use in Front wheel drive /high 4wd until you get a new prop? At least you can still drive somewhere then

Yes, 4WD is an option, the only problem is that we need the vehicle to drive 500 miles towing on Monday.

I've just spoken with Mark and Jude at Mark's Garage, they have been fantastic. Mark doesn't have one in stock but he has several Series IIIs at home and is going to have a look and pull one off for us to use temporarily whilst he sources a better one for us. What a star

fingers crossed he has one.

Our neighbour has offered us use of his 109 Series III which is a lovely vehicle were it not for its petrol engine which makes it of limited use for us on the refinery
