I am looking for a portable electric winch and there seems to be a choice of one, albeit it appears under different branding, colours and prices - Trojan 4000, Warrior Trojan and, in the USA, Superwinch which is yellow.

Does anyone have one of these winches, or indeed can suggest an alternative that I have missed? If so, what has your experience been and, more specifically, how long is the power cable with the crocodile clips? If you are using the winch at the back of the car is the cable long enough to reach the battery at the front?
